LocalConvert is a free, browser-based file conversion tool. The Service allows users to convert images, videos, and audio files between different formats. All processing occurs locally on the user's device.

  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or create derivative works of the Service
  • Not use the Service to convert files that you do not have the right to modify

You retain all rights to the files you convert using LocalConvert. We do not claim any ownership or rights to your files. The converted files are yours to use as you see fit, subject to applicable laws and third-party rights.

The LocalConvert software, including its design, code, and branding, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the Service without permission.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • ACCURACY or RELIABILITY of conversion results
  • UNINTERRUPTED or ERROR-FREE operation
  • COMPATIBILITY with all file types or browsers

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOCALCONVERT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Loss of data or files
  • Loss of profits or revenue
  • Damage to your device or software
  • Any other damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service

7. Browser and System Requirements

The Service requires a modern web browser with support for WebAssembly and SharedArrayBuffer. We recommend Chrome 94+, Edge 94+, Firefox 100+, or Safari 16.4+. Performance may vary based on your device's capabilities.

8. Third-Party Libraries

LocalConvert uses open-source libraries including FFmpeg and wasm-vips. These libraries are subject to their own licenses (LGPL, MIT, etc.). By using the Service, you agree to comply with these licenses.

9. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
